Information You Provide
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the independent provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the information included in your message and use it to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Routine hosting logs may include an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand general traffic. Cookies or comparable tools may also be used for basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How Visitor Data Is Used
Visitor data helps operate the service, address technical problems, measure traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites
Links may lead to Franklin County and Ohio records portals, library collections, archives, and independent search tools. Their own privacy practices apply to information submitted there, including information entered through sponsored results.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process routine logs for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure and not for unrelated purposes.
Safeguarding Information
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the period needed for the uses described here. There are no user accounts, passwords, or visitor profiles maintained by this site.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor provided information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
You may ask to access, correct, or remove personal data that this site holds. Ohio's Personal Information Systems Act, ORC Chapter 1347, governs specified government personal-information systems and is not a universal commercial deletion right. We keep little visitor data, so requests generally involve a contact mailbox or retained logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Ohio, Franklin County, Truro Township, or municipal custodians remain under their control. Ohio Public Records Act, ORC 149.43, does not override confidentiality laws. Safe at Home protections in ORC 111.41-111.47, including ORC 111.44 voter protections, and the public-service-worker redaction process in ORC 149.45 may also limit release or online display.
Policy Updates
Changes to this policy will be posted here. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
